Terms of Service
Last updated 1 March 2026
Notice: Render is in early access. These terms will be updated before the general availability launch. The current version applies to all sandbox and early access users.
1. Who we are
Render Technologies Ltd (company no. pending, registered in England and Wales), trading as "Render", provides infrastructure for filing UK Corporation Tax returns (CT600) with HMRC.
2. Service description
Render provides software that automates the technical submission of CT600 Corporation Tax returns to HMRC, acting solely on the explicit instruction of each user. We are a software intermediary — not a tax adviser, accountant, or regulated professional. We do not analyse, prepare, or take responsibility for the accuracy of financial data entered by users.
You are responsible for ensuring all data submitted via Render is accurate and complete. Render does not verify the accuracy of financial data you provide.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to file tax returns on behalf of the company you are filing for. By using Render, you represent that you have obtained all necessary authorisations.
4. API keys and security
You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential. Do not share keys in public repositories or client-side code. Notify us immediately at security@render.my if you believe a key has been compromised.
Sandbox keys (prefix sk_sandbox_) are for testing only and do not submit to HMRC. Live keys (prefix sk_live_) submit real returns.
5. Pricing and payment
Filing fees are charged per accepted live submission. Current pricing is listed at render.my/pricing. Sandbox submissions are always free. We reserve the right to update pricing with 30 days' notice.
6. Prohibited use
You may not use Render to:
- Submit false or fraudulent returns to HMRC
- Automate submissions in a way that bypasses HMRC rate limits
- Resell the service without a written reseller agreement
- Reverse-engineer the GovTalk XML protocol for any purpose outside our documented API
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Render Technologies Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including late filing penalties, HMRC assessments, or data loss.
Our total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Render in that period.
8. Data and privacy
We process the personal and corporate data you provide solely to deliver the service. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling, retention, and your rights under UK GDPR.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
